I actually saw a restaurant (well, chish n fip shop anyway) last year with apostrophes EVERYWHERE on the menu. E.g.:
Chip's
Chicken nugget's
Drink's
Cod bite's
Battered sausage's
Bean's

I think the scripts might say "could've", etc. The rest is down to accents, but there's nothing wrong with could've should've would've (except as pop lyrics).

Definitely possible.
But they do all (without exception) seem to willfully and carefully say 'could of' rather than 'could've', so I feel there's some conspiracy...

Sorry folks but it took me several attempt's to get my 'O'O Grade English. I rely on Microsoft Word telling me when I'm wrong.
In fact Aaron/Mark, can we have a spell checker or grammar checker on the site. It would save a ton of arguments.
I've already put in place numerous checks and auto-replacements, mostly to correct American (i.e. wrong) spellings.
If I can sort out something reliable enough though, a spell-checker will definitely be on the cards for the new forums.
Will it automatically replace the word pants with trousers?
