It never seems like a good idea when someone is in a new relationship. But I know people now happily married to a teenage partner they re-met.

Really...I don't get it. I don't talk to anyone I knew when I was a teenager. Perhaps I'm just f**king weird.

"Didn't work out..." Apparently there are people who can dump someone without seeing how it might affect their friendship, and those who can get dumped without getting drunk and threatening to slash their wrists with a paracetamol. I think these people are known as "sensible" and "normal" and I have no comprehension of them.

Well I met my husband when I was 18, so that would be a bit weird in my case.
Sometimes circumstances, like moving away or illness, end relationships, rather than bad feelings.

I visit enough of those places as it is.

Wow, what did your boyfriend say?
Quote: Dolly Dagger @ December 9 2009, 12:12 PM GMTI feel the same too. I can never understand the staying friends thing.
I'm hoping to be more than friends this weekend.

Just for the weekend, or for the future?
Quote: Nogget @ December 9 2009, 12:22 PM GMTWow, what did your boyfriend say?
Ha! I did have a boyfriend at the time. He didn't take it too well.

Don't know. She's foreign and lives in a foreign land, so not sure we have a future together.

And yet now he looks back on it as the best thing to ever happen to him.

Then maybe it couldn't have meant much? I mean if you really like someone...

Probably. He buggered back to his homeland.
