Meh - old news. I've been doing that for months.
Anyway, Ellie has started training for her half marathon. Only 15 weeks more to go.

Good morning all. I like Wednesday because Wednesday is band practice night. I thought my writing was bad, but tis nothing compared to what happens when I pick up a guitar.
Chipolata's thinking of places in London he can take an ex girlfriend at the weekend. Must have poor lighting so she can't see him properly.

Is this meant to sound sinister, Chip?

Not at all. It's just been a while since she's seen me and I don't want her to be disappointed.

I'm meeting up again this evening with my first ever girlfriend, whom I hadn't seen in 20 years until a couple of weeks ago. She's aged very well.

It's weird meeting ex's. Part of you wants them to have gone on to have happy lives. Part of you wants them to have grown a hump and lost all their teeth after you stopped going out and had lives of hideous misery and pain.
I'm content just knowing they still bear the scars.

Well she and her husband split up after many years of marriage and she's got two teenage boys. We've both had some good old miserable memories of grown-up life to share, so that helps! My problem is that I just start to remember her as a carefree 16 year old again. Mixed emotions overall, I guess.

Really? I assumed everyone shared the knawing hatred I have for ex's...I never understood how people become friends with ex's f**king crazy.

I think it very much depends on the circumstances, doesn't it? Especially how the relationship came to an end?

I feel the same too. I can never understand the staying friends thing.

Surely badly or else why did it end?
