I just did a finalish edit to a wedding vid for a fiend on iMovie. Tried to speed up a section of the bridal car arriving and it said it needed to covert the entire. It converted the whole lot and now it looks like flickery shit and seems to be not undoable. So I am going to have to do the whole edit again.

Oh noes!

Have you been splitting scenes? So that you only edit certain selected portions?

When you drag a clip on to the timeline - don't. Copy n paste it so you still have the original clip in the library.

You should be able to roll back to the original clip, not sure why you can't?

How was you trying to speed it up anyway? Benny Hill style? Pleased

I hate iMovie. The sole reason I have my Macbook set to dual-boot to Windows 7 and OS X is to allow me to run Sony Vegas.

It's excellent for a free program. WMM is a lot worse.

I had Adobe Premier Pro but ended up going back to WMM because it's much more straightforward to use and I notice you can compress the hell out of files on WMM and still (more or less) keep the quality, but with PP the rendered vids are feckin massive! Big shame.

Yeah, that's why I like iMovie. Simple, straight forward and effective. I'm remembering WMM from Win98 I bet. That was buggy as hell.

Scotti has posted off his IPhone. Cool... :|

What does that mean Scotti?

Tim has shaved and polished his balls all ready for Christmas. Now just need the tree to hang them on. :)

Gavin might end the year jobless. Joy.

Awww mate. Sorry to hear that.

Yeah sorry to hear that Gavin.

Every day Chipolata pre-hearses some small talk to do with the receptionist. Today it was the difference between grouse and pheasants.

And sorry to hear about the job situation Gavin. Although if you do lose it, you won't have the stress of thinking up brand new small talk topics to do with the receptionist.

Could be worse I suppose, I still have the car to live in lol!

You haven't lost your home as well, have you?

Someone might be a month behind on rent so no wage Whistling nnocently

It'll all be fine I'm sure. I can always work in Tesco again, they should be hiring for the Christmas rush and since no ones want to work Christmas or New Year day it'll be a good thing for me.

Bummer. :(

Still, if worst comes to the worst, you can always move in with Marc P. I hear he's got a big old house on the coast and would be happy to have house guests (providing they don't mind watching his episodes of Doctors back to back over the Christmas period).
