Has anyone mentioned the annoying laughter track?

Apologies if I've upset the apple-cart, Roscoff, my comments weren't particularly directed at you in the slightest. It's more the general tone of the thread as a whole, which seems to keep coming back to Ms Hart's appearance. Wasn't meant to be a dig at anyone specifically. Sorry for any misunderstanding or offence. ;)

To be honest I haven't gone back to re-read this thread so I was unaware of past comments but you're entitled to an opinion and if there's been a glut of physical side-swipes and you're a fan (or indeed not) then I suppose mine may have been at the end of a long list.

In brief. She seems quite funny. I don't find Miranda the sitcom very funny. She uses her rather awkward physique to comedy effect. As someone like Max Wall used to. I tried to do the same with great success. Not.

No.

Annoying laughter track? It's filmed in front of a live audience. No laughter track. It's not The Flintstones :)

Ratings for episode 2 are 2.76 million and the sunday episode got 1.93 million. pretty good figures for the channel it's on.

So up on first ep.

I suspect that if this was a bloke in the main role, we wouldn't be even discussing their physical appearance. :(

That's right.

Miranda Hart and Gorden Kaye are almost indistinguishable from one another and yet nobody as far as I recall remarked upon Rene's fine physique.

This is sexism and I shall be writing to The Times.

I disagree. If Stephen Hawkin had landed this role I believe there would have been a mention of physical attributes. And Rusty the bouncing weatherman for Live TV.

That's a sitcom I'd like too see.
