Dan
Lol. You say that Dan. The last one I think had three chapters.
Quote: Tim Walker @ December 2 2009, 3:58 PM GMTEven I consider that a little too long for a half hour sitcom, Marc.
Yeah but when I cut out all the chaff I should have fifteen minutes worth for the Sitcom Mission.

Quote: Tim Walker @ December 2 2009, 3:52 PM GMTI always tend to overwrite any first draft then get out a massive pair or editing shears, so I also have to be pretty ruthless on what I've written.
I wish I had that problem.
Quote: Tim Walker @ December 2 2009, 3:55 PM GMTYou've got me bang-to-rights, Morrace. I'm the king of brown-nosing,
So far, I'll agree but ---

--- now you're calling Micheal Jacob a monkey!
This is very unfair to a man who is doing his level best to help writers like yourself - and one, I hasten too add.
God Bless You Micheal.
Nowt wrong with being a monkey!

I know, I know. But I've got a lot of monkey friends you see. They're alright once you get to know them.

I didn't say the binned stuff was in any way funny, did I?

Fair enough. I tend to write gag-to-gag. I have trouble proceeding if I realise there are no potential laughs in my last five or six lines.

That shows a commendable attitude, Kevin.
There are writers who have no trouble proceeding even when they realise there are no potential laughs in their last five or six EPISODES.

I'm not sure about that. I'd rather be staring at a 60-minute script with 30 minutes of laughter than a 15-minute script with 15 minutes of laughter. It's what it looks like when you're finished that counts, right?

Well I am confused.

Just saying that it's better to have a full script that's too long than half a script that's not finished.

Ah. Good point.
