I hope you mean about Smike's treatment at Squeers' at the beginning and not that something happens to him cos I'm only a tenth of the way through the book lol!

Were you fed on gruel and forced to clear out the chimney btw? :)

Not far off. You'll have to wait and see about Smike. :)

I take it they're serving modern food then? Bah! It should be meat, veg, and potatoes with some warm beer!

Or oysters and chops.

Gahh, so cruuuuel >_< :D

Or oysters and chops.

Oh yes, how could I forget those! And beefsteak pudding too!

And of course the ubiquitous bowl of hot punch!

What do the panel think about men wearing make-up?

I was on the tube the other night and 2 Noel Fielding look-a-likeys were putting mascara, lip-gloss etc on each other. They were making a right hash of it though.

Whilst I'm not against men wearing make-up, it takes years of practice to apply it on public transport.

It's definitely catching on, even Jimmy Carr admits to wearing guyliner, where will it end?

Well, Ange, I'm still trying to perfect my cock into looking like a massive clitoris?

The beauty of clitori* is they don't have to be big to be beautiful, unlike cocks. ;)

*that is the plural, isn't it?

Oh right, I thought it was a jockey.

Fine by me if they can carry it off - i.e they're skinny pretty boys or look like they're in a band. Blokes who look like builders shouldn't though.

Rushes to get the baby wipes :)

Ooh, still haven't read OMF. I prefer his more comic ones - Pickwick Papers is my number 1, followed my Martin Chuzzlewit. Reading Nicholas Nickleby at the minute.

Nicholas Nickleby is on TV this afternoon.

Oh wow! But damn, I can't watch or it'll ruin the book :( Mind you that depends on how faithful it actually is.

...Makeup is not for men.

Makeup isn't really for anybody - that's up to us.
