Harry Hill's TV Burp! Page 16

I didn't - feels a bit lazy to me, padding out the show with those extended sketches instead of commenting on the clips . . .

I think it varies. For me, TV Burp has definetly crossed the initial threshold with a comedy show where I have no idea what's coming next. Much like how Family Guy went flat for me once I pegged that constant direct pop culture spoofing was going to keep appearing. But it doesn't mean that it can't be funny if done right. For me, the build up for 'The church is on fire!' and how they handled it made it work. Not like it was an extended version of one of the weaker sketches, like the Mr Blobby cameo a few weeks back.

Also, I'm enjoying the running joke about the '16 or over' rule.

I do so love Mr Blobby.

My wife and I have watched this since the first series, back in 2002 if I am not mistaken, and we have found it consistently hilarious. Tonight's episode was as laughter inducing as ever, notably the re-emergence of the Jelly gag, in response to which, my wife Dawn and I both laughed out loud.

Heh. The jelly was another thing I didn't find funny. Come to think of it, it's only the clips and Harry's looks to camera left that make me laugh. The songs at the end are always pretty painfull too (in a bad way) - can't believe they got Shirley Ghostman on...

Oooh! I just saw the knitted character!

Quick pho... tex... email in!

I saw it this week too...ITV's site got hammered at the exact point and as I've not heard anything back by now, doubt I won :(

So where was ittttttttttt?

That was last week's one, yus.

I couldn't get my entry in - Graham was so upset.

It was on Working Lunch on Tuesday!

The butcher who had no confidence in his sausage made me make a LOL.

The 'death' of the Knitted Character was brutal.

"He's dead, kids. Oh well"
