Annoying trinkets people say!

I had a friend once.

No but really...there was this time I had this geezer.

No Seriously!!! I knew somebody who used to say "I hate Fly!" and "kill fly quick!" without the use of any articles whatsoever. As you can imagine this would bug the shit out of any sane insect.

So here it is...Tell the things people say which annoy the shit of you; my little beauties.

Now fly away with it my scantily dressed grasshoppers!

'Trinkets'? 'Phrases', surely?

My bad.

Since when the f**k was bad a noun?

"Back in the day!"

Back in the day they used to say "In the old days" or "we used to..."

I thought "Back in the day!" referred to a personal moment in ones life.

"In the old days" is more general.

It should be "back in A day" - maybe.

Bad Times

*shudder*

I once confronted an otherwise eloquent African-American mate over his use of the word "aks" instead of "ask". He advised me to respect "where he's coming from".

It didn't end well.

That is joke!

"Aks" drives me insane!!!!!

What about "Haitch?"

And people who don't say G at the end of a word. Like Singin'. They can say it in the middle of the word so why can't they at the end?

At the end of the day Angry

Words that should end in 'd' like food, becoming a 't' as in 'goot with foot' Angry Angry Angry

Nucelar instead of nuclear - a narrator used this several times on "Destroyed in Seconds" bugging the life out of me.

Gypsies:

"Wanna buy some phrases, dearie?"

Apropos!
What's all that about?
I've looked it up, but I still don't know

Over here, I hear "on account of because" all the time, along with "type thing" and "hardly never." Arghhh!
