INT.POLICE STATION SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA.
THE ARRESTING SERGEANT IS LEANING ON HIS
DESK WITH HIS HEAD DOWN.

A COP PUSHES THROUGH THE DOOR WITH 50 CENT AND EMINEM IN HANDCUFFS.

THE DESK SERGEANT LOOKS UP AND SHAKES HIS HEAD.

Sergeant:Aw Jesus H Christ Berkstien. Not serial rappists!

I agree with Griff, it needs a line where the Desk Sergeant says something like;

"No, I told you we needed to crack down on RAPE..."

Even then I'm not sure the misunderstanding between "rape" and "rap" is clear enough.

That joke doesn't work for me because the word "rappist" isn't a realistically possible misunderstanding, as it has been made up specifically for this sketch.

Ahh, now I get it. Rappists, not rapists.

Just leave the ending as it is. Then write EDIT underneath.

EDIT:

Sergeant: Ah not these C**ts!...

Police officer: What shall we do with them, lock em' up?

Sergeant: No...just shoot them.

Forget the rappist bit, let's just get rid of them?

Agree with the comments above. The words need to sound the same for confusion to ensue. So if the Desk Sergeant said: "No, no, no - I told you to clear up all those awful wrappers littering the streets." it might work?

Fair comments all.Advice heeded.

I'd just leave it as "rapists".

No, I like it as it was, Happy, I think it's very funny. If you change it, it won't work. Perfect as it is.
