Perhaps not as often as the UK, but it is definitely used. I've even heard my 67-year-old mother use the term. (She was describing Britney Spears.)

Laughing out loud

I've always heard it as "Twot".

What colour is your new netbook Robyn?

It's black, and very, very shiny. :D

I had a friend who was originally from London and another from Greenock. By the end of the semester I was using a lot of their terms for stuff. I use twat all the time.

It's definitely a great word to have in your vocoabulary :)

I would've been so happy if Bush had made The War Against Terror an acronym and worn it on a t-shirt.

Scotti played pictionary today with Miss Scottidog's family. Quite arkward.

She made her own game and came up with Film, television and book titles of her own that she made into card form. We played on a big A1 Flip chart with a little egg timer.

It was me, her, her mum and step dad, sister and nan and grandad.

It was going well, I had 'Goldfinger' which was easy.

Up gets old Grandad, who plods to the board with his walking stick looks at the card, slowly draws a rubbish circle on the paper and proceeds to just stare at the egg timer for the remaining 30 seconds.

'Argh, Grandad what was it..you ok?' she says.

He doesn't speak and just turns the card around and 'The curious case of Benjamin Button' is revealed.

'Oh, ok..don't worry, have another go'.

He takes another card and looks at it for what seemed an age, and then continues to draw a sun..and then stares around the room for a bit and then looks at the egg timer.

'Oh, Grandad, what was it..you alright?'

He turns the card around and we read 'The Day after Tommorow'.

How can he draw that..he doesn't even know which f**king day it is in reality!!!
