I'd be interested to know what people think of this bumholery.
Personal Broject
Yeah, s'alright. I thought it was going on too long, but the end slightly justified it.
Well, slight justification is what I go after when I sit down to write a skit.
Performance was very good, natural and non-annoying!! I laughed in quite a few places (sorry I can't remember where as I first watched it earlier).
Would have been cool if you had someone else in the scene to provide the awkward reaction/"trying to interrupt and thank him" shots that I think would have been cool.
But I liked!
Nice acting! And check out that falsetto. I think this is pretty much perfect actually. Did you write the super friends sketch a long time ago, because this is a whole different league.
If I was a producer and this landed on my desk I'd call you in.
If I'm being really picky I would have used a better lager. Only hobros drink Carlsberg.
Brofessional. Way to bro Dave.
doh!.... I've just realised why the baby's there!
That was good. I often find myself cringing at these homemade videos but that wasn't the case here at all - it was entertaining and you come across as a funny, likeable chap which always helps. Well done.
Just my opinion of course,
Bo.
i thought the performance was really good. but i don't get it. why is he saying all the words with "bro" at the beginning to a baby? is it because the baby is his brother?
Thanks, guys, it's nice to hear positive responses to something I'm still mildly ashamed of.
I did wonder if maybe it was too long, but I got carried away with a huge list of bro puns and felt I had to at least go with 10% of them. Making a shorter version wouldn't be an issue, but I'd sooner move on and make something new.
To the person who didn't get it, what can I say? The joke was meant to be in the overzealous performance, the bad punning and the juxtaposition of the frat boy behaviour and the confounded little girl. I'll be the first to admit that sort of humour won't fly with everyone.
And Godot, I'm going to accept your critique at face value and say thank you very much. I'm even more curious to read some of your work now.
I forgot to mention, I enjoyed some of the nostalgic inducing puns with some of the stuff I haven't thought about in years (if that makes sense).
You mean Barry Manibro?
Haha, there was quite a few.
I'm not going to comment on writing style and wit and try to make intelligent comments and go "Ya ya" and stroke my beard in an intellectual way. It made me laugh.
Great performance! preferred your mummy sketch but this still raised a smile. have you acted before? think you've the potential to be a great comedy actor.
i watched it again and this time you raised a laugh!
This was funny and very random! I did laugh just cause you did come out with the most random of random "bro's" as such.
