If you'd been on these threads a little longer you might realise how much respect and affection he is treated with. Not only as a funny, clever writer but also as a help and mentor for newer writers.

Oh come on, don't be so daft. My opinion causing controversey? Sure, that happens and I can only sympathise if I have caused offence. But am I anything to do with it? Clearly not.
