They contacted me to, It wasn't by e-mail though, they chucked a brick through my window.

I just got my crit back from Screenplay on my sitcom which I wrote last year.
It didn't seem as though there was one thing they liked about it. It got quite a kicking!
However, I can't disagree with what they said. There was a lot of good advice given. Jan, who is in charge, obviously knows his stuff.
I was a bit deflated at first, but then took stock of it all. The sitcom was the first comedy thing I ever wrote and I knew that it was deeply flawed. Also, a lot of things that Jan pointed out are things that have been incorporated into the current sitcom I'm working on. So, I've got to crack on.
I'll just crack off.
So does anyone really know anything about this company?
Have they been involved in anything good?

The link in the original post has full details about their productions.
(I can now see 4 BSGers under Talent-Writers!)
I was just curious as to whether anyone had had any recent contact with this company and if so how have you found them and the man in charge Jan Jung.
I understand they are running their 'first look' scheme, which I must admit to being slightly dubious about. I have emailed Jan with some enquiries and am looking forward to hearing his response as all reports from this thread do seem to portray him in a very positive light.

So what's happened with this lot? They seemed to be snapping people up off here left, right and centre. Anyone still working with them?
Sootyj like the lame boy outside the mountain is once more mumbling "f**k you Pied Piper."

Got a bit of lukewarm feedback but never really did anything about it.
Luckily it coincided with me getting a bit of interest elsewhere so I didn't feel the need to pursue them.
Didn't they try and turn it into some sort of script reading/agent sort of deal?
All seemed a bit unorthodox for my liking.
I'm still working with them on a few projects.
I partook in that script reading First Look project for a while, but then my work life got too hectic, so I didn't have time to continue with it.
I haven't heard from SceenPlay in ages, so I'm kind of feeling that because I'm not script reading, I'm not part of the old gang any more. Of course, I'm probably wrong there, and that it could just be my paranoia setting in again.
Meanwhile, in other news, I still have a radio sitcom optioned with ScreenPlay.
And I've garnered a lot of interest lately from other production companies, plus I'm working on several projects, so it's all go.

I only read the ones that catch my interest and I've probably only read a couple this year, I don't think you'll fall out of favour if you don't continue the reading.
