Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle - Series 1 Page 42

Spoke briefly with Stewart after his gig last night in Guildford and asked him about a second series of Vehicle. He said he'd spoken to the BBC the day before and the new controller wasn't keen, so it didn't look like it. They asked him to present a new show, showcasing up and coming stand-up comedians, but said it's not something he's interesting in doing.

So, (1), buy the DVD of the last series, if you haven't already (it'll make money for him and the BCG if you click from here):

(2) I've actually got off my arse for a change and set up a petition to see how much interest we can build up. Sign it here: http://www.petitiononline.com/BBSLCV/petition.html
and we'll see how it goes.

Don't forget it's being repeated on Dave on Mondays just after 11pm, if you need to remind yourselves how good it actually is.

So ... Michael McIntyre's Stewart Lee's Comedy Roadshow? :S

Yes, exactly. It would be a lot less original.

Dan

I've signed the petition.

Thanks Ian.

It's slow-going so far...

Signed and posted link on Facebook. ;)

Cheers people -- much appreciated.

I don't think campaigning is my suit, but trying my best!

Dan

Double figures! Already!

Gaahhaahh!?!?

Exactly! Sign the petition!

Dan

I only sign one petition a year. It was between this and 'Keep Great Ormond Street Hospital Open'.

Series two better be f**king sweet!

Thought it was quite good that Caitlin Moran signed, cos she really likes it. But then, it looks like Stewart Lee signed it himself :)

Bring Back Stewart Lee's Comedy Vehicle! http://bit.ly/3kHra3

Dan

As did (the?) Justin Edwards. :)

I think so. Thanks to Caitlin as she retweeted (as did Richard Herring) and added about 500 people in a couple of hours!

Steve Furst signed too.
