Ready Tim?
Turns out that my best friend, back in our wacky college days, was curious about girls and me especially. Very odd conversation. I'm the godmother of her child and was the one to help her through the rocky period in her marriage. And you think you know somebody...
You are a chick magnet!
*has trouble writing steadily*
It's an odd thing to come to terms with at 33 years of age.
Flattering though?
Yes, very. And I think I would make a cracking lesbian, but sadly I'm interested in men.
I think I'd make a cracking lesbian too. Never mind.
I'm sure you would Tim.

Go and write one then.
I can't think of anything I want to write about.

Do what I do. Rack your brains trying to think up one, finally hit inspiration, write the first few pages and then realise it's been done before, but betterer.

I was going to do this, but then realised that you did it.

How about setting one in a Doughnut shop? Of course for the American market you'll have to call it a Donut and swap jam for jelly.
Here use my handy sitcom template below -
Main Dude - shy, intelligent, lovable, hates working in a doughnut shop and yearns for a better life, secretly fancies Main Chick.
Main Chick - fiesty, beautiful, independent, has horrible boyfriend and wants to do something worthwhile with her life. Doesn't fancy Main Dude, even though he is everything she wants in a man.
Manager - jumped up little Hitler obsessed by success and status, he thinks he's intelligent but he ain't. Runs into trouble as he puts the profits of the Doughnut shop above everyone else's feelings.
Plot - a new Doughnut shop opens across the street, it's owned by evil successful businessman who went to school with Main Dude. He threatens to put nice doughnut shop out of business and constantly belittles Main Dude, just like he did in school.
And boom, you're away.
