David Lloyd R.I.P

Prolific US comedy writer, who worked on a bunch of great shows (including Taxi, Cheers and Frasier), has died...

R.I.P.

Not a name I'm familiar with, but more than a little prolific. Rather sad.

The name made me think of Frasier, but I didn't necessarily know I knew his name, if that makes sense.
In fact I thought for a second it might be Niles. Eep.

He was the father of Frasier writer/producer/creator Christopher Lloyd (who is not the actor of the same name, obviously). David Lloyd in this country is the tennis bod. ;)

there is also a british character actor of those name who appeared in Maid Marian and Her Merry Men and The Young Ones

So there!

Glad Tim flagged this obit up. David Lloyd's list of credits is awesome, shows that appear to cover most of my adult life. (Such as it is)

R.I.P.

Though it did occcasionally over step the mark, Frasier was simply one of the wittiest, good natured, best written shows on television and so it is a great shame that one of it's major contributors should pass away.

When I hear Christopher Lloyd I think 'Great Scott!'

I hope were not talking about him. He was also in Taxi.
