What have you seen at the Theatre? Page 6

I went to see Comedians last night at Lyric, Hammersmith.

Was really quite good... well the first two acts were. Last one was too boring.

I saw it this afternoon it was brilliant. Sadky only a philistine with out a soul, could fail to love the 3rd part.

Don't worry I understand the NHS now does soul transplants.

Spring Awakening

I was in a production of 'Spring Awakening' when I was 16. This is before they had the mad idea to put in some songs and turn it into a musical. It was just a good old fashioned homosexual sex and suicide 19th century German guilt-trip, in those days. I played Moritz, who kills himself at the end. The parents' preview performance was a laugh riot, I recall...

I saw the straight play, no music. It was on in Sheffield but I can't recall what year

Did anyone see Mamet's Speed The Plow? I think I would have enjoyed that. :(

I'm going to see Avenue Q tonight which I am really excited about. I've heard nothing but great things about it, although it's not one for kids or your parents.

I've also seen (when I was younger)...

Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat (With Philip Schofield)
Starlight Express (before the rubbish health and safety barriers were put up)
Grease
and some others which I will add to as I remember them.

I liked the gay puppet best, it was hilarious :D

Philip Schofield? Errr

You must!

Are you going to go and see the sequel, Aaron?

I'm not good with the theatre; I never suspend my disblief as much as with the cinema.

The last proper play I saw was probably Terry Johnson's Hysteria, which was very good.
