It might be, especially if you get financial aids.
Redundancy. What would you do? Page 4
Quote: roscoff @ May 3 2009, 1:57 PM BSTI'll give you the same advice Chappers as I gave another young lady on here. Whoring. Everybody needs sex during the recession. Get Aaron to pimp for you, he's a student and therefore is doing f**k all
Ironically, I've only just seen this because I've been doing so much work.

So have you managed to get me any clients yet?
Actually on top of this I've really been lucky.
Two complete strangers have contacted me in the last week saying they have lots of money to give me and all I've got to do is give them my bank details. Looks like I've really fallen on my feet!

That's nothing, this week I've been the 999,999th visitor on 3 websites and been notified I have won 2 lotteries that I never bought tickets for.

I got the exact same people at my door but they were offering me salvation.
Salvation? PAH! That's nothing. The Christian Aid woman promised me I'd save 3 Million Sri Lankans and I could sponsor them to come to the UK and cater for my every need.
Well it's six months on.
I hoped for 1. - ie a full time job but that's easier said than done. I'm having to start looking outside my comfort zone.
At the moment it's 2. - ie a part time job - but the hours are all over the place and it's hard to get a structure to my life and the money is crap.
On top of that is the added complication of where I live. I need to get my own space but because of my low income that's also proving difficult.
Any good ideas?
What about keeping what you're doing, and trying to get some additional income streams? In my limited experience, unexpected opportunities can arise when you apply yourself to knew areas. It's difficult to know what else to say, since we know so very little about your circumstances.
It took me a good few months to find another job, so I guess keep going for it. You could look to find a way of supplementing your income?
And if you couldn't afford accomadation on a bigger income, you can less afford it on a smaller one. Unless you move out of the city.
Have you considered house sitting Dave?
Just Google house sitting, as you can earn an extra income looking after someone's home.
Mostly you just live there and make sure it's all secure and stuff while the owner's away or working abroad.
The bonus is you can still fit the writing in

I've seen that before but the downside is, it actually isn't very good pay, £20 a day / night? Not a great way to suppliment your income and house sitters are 10 a penny.
If you have anything to sell put it on eBay I used to do that a lot in my student days and made a good £50 - £100 extra on my income a month.
I went to the bank the other day to see my new "personal banking advisor" about life, the future, sorting my finances out etc. We mainly talked about him taking voluntary redundancy, finishing in 2 weeks and having all of Christmas and the New Year off.

That was helpful. - for you I meant!

I suppose I could do that and still do my part-time job. Good thinking Jude. Off to Google!
