Soz, but to me the fact that he hasn't actually performed stand up before sends warning bells. I don't know of any stand-ups who sat around waiting for other people to write the material for them - surely it's having the material that makes a person want to get up on stage and perform it - you might as well send ideas into my nan.

I think I'm going to put on a disguise and become, Tarob the fly on the wall investigator, and expose his left wing-ness and liberalism and "out" his Political Correctness, all the while ridiculing his sincerely held views. The pacifist! 
I agree with what Stylo said.
I thought it was kind of lazy just to turn up and say "Hey, I wanna be a comedian and I want everyone else to do the work for me". Although, it could be that they're a group of actors and want to give comedy a go. Most comic actors do have some sort of comedy background though.
Writers have the lazy job, they just sit around all day in their pants. It's the poor guy on stage who gets boo'd when the material stinks!

Comedians performing in their pants could be just what Mock the Week needs to add a bit of lustre and could stand you in good stead as being the innovator! Go for it!

Yes there are limitations to the concept, I agree..

This is getting unintentionally funny. It started off with great mystique and ended with a stand-up wannabe who can't even do his own material.
Victimless humour??? There is a victim in almost every joke. He's done well this guy to get us all interested and he's genuinely made me laugh too.
