Gary Glitter cries foul! Page 5

Nice idea.

We could continue with The garrotting of Graham Norton or The burning of Biggins.

Homophobe.

Homophobe.

Laughing out loud

The bumming of Barrymoore?

I'd pay to watch Adrian Chiles being water-boarded... (I'm against capital punishment.)

I know what you mean. In the nude, right? Phwoar!

As a doctor, do you have to be against capital punishment?

No idea. No, probably not. The lethal injection in the US was devised by a doctor. (It's a very dodgy method of killing someone "humanely" in my view, but that's a completely different debate. Unless, of course, one is the 'Washington Sniper' - who is due to be executed by lethal injection tonight - in which case it is probably a fairly germane issue right now.)

Aren't doctors probably the ones who administer the lethal injections?

Evil doctors from the dark side naturally, but still...

...oh.

Actually, no, it's not generally doctors who administer it, I think. They will certify death, but they can't ethically be seen to be acting as a doctor in relation to the alive executionee. 'First do no harm' is the maxim, so deliberately killing your patient rather goes against that.

Aaaah, good point!

Maybe those new euthenising(sp) ones could get a bit of part time work doing the lethal injections on the weekends.

It's a technician. F**king easy job, stick needles in, load poison, press button bosh. Pick up cheque and take the rest of the week off.

They should make them beat them to death, work up a proper sweat.

Except in that recent case, of course, where they couldn't get a cannula in any vein and had to postpone the execution. I think that actually counts as torture, certainly "cruel and unusual punishment". The problem with the lethal injection cocktail is that the condemned person is probably only put to sleep relatively temporarily. However, when they awake they find they have been paralysed by the muscle relaxant and have to experience slowly asphyxiating to death, with the pain of a massive heart attack as their heart becomes deprived of oxygen. All good fun, I'm sure, if you're into that sort of thing... Errr I'd take hanging, if I had to choose.

F**king nora.

Well, quite.

At least then you get to jizz before you croak.
