Indeed. Although it sometimes seems better than being trapped in a bad marriage where the mutual respect has died. Not all of my girlfriends are married. Some are divorced, don't want to remarry, but do want an occasional boyfriend for company.

As their psychotherapist, do you ever find professional ethics get in the way?

I suppose knowing how beoming a parent can change your outlook and concerns only happens when you become one - however that may happen.
