I know this one girl who always signs off on MSN because it starts automatically each time Windows starts (I've informed her of the options to not open/not sign in, but she gave it a big 'meh'). Maybe there are people like that.
As for people with 'busy' . . . you know, if you are looking at something in 'full screen' mode, like a film, game, or comic, then MSN automatically puts your status at 'busy'. So go easy on them, they may know not what they do.
I get signed in and out whether I want to or not. It is most annoying to be signed out mid conversation. Hopefully I will get it fixed soon.
Sometimes I choose 'away' or 'busy' cos I've just nipped off to make a drink or someone wants me (yes, they really do) and I don't think I will be away long enough to make it worthwhile signing out and and again.
I use busy because I'm having a convo with someone and don't want to be interrupted, if I "appear off-line" it messes up the messages, so nerr
I need a 'I hate you all cos you're not talking to me' button

Whilst they fap furiously at the moving pictures on the screen...
