I have that stupid Cal Johnson song stuck in my head from the Seth MacFarlane special last night.

It's a funny song. Is it meant to be a parody of something specific, or just in general?

All 50s and 60s American TV westerns had terrible theme tunes. I think he's just picking on the ones that make no sense.

Ahhh... One of my favourite parodies is The Simpson's episode (in which Krusty "sells out" his newly-found comedy integrity, featuring Jay Leno) where Hank Williams Jr sings a song over the ad for the 'The Canyonero'...

Laughing out loud

I forgot all about that. :)

Well we came 5th in the film quiz - our worst placing to date. Ah well, next month . . .

A small bit of wood seems more likely, but worth a guess.

The needle is a TOOL for getting the splinter out!

That and a fine tweezers.

Thanks but it's under the skin now and I can't get it. My hands and arms are slashed to ribbons anyway (from my cat, honest) so I'm expecting something to get infected. :)

My mum's given me the nurse talk, so I know, but I took iron for a bit and it just made my stomach hurt. I'm just confused as to why it's never shown up as a problem before when I've given blood.

You mention sometimes that you feel stressed, and with your workload it's understandable.

As far as I know it's not caused or made worse by stress. It's a condition that comes and goes and probably effects most women of child-bearing age at some point. I've had it, my sister's had it, me neices, etc. It can make you feel sluggish, but it's really nothing to worry about. Iron tablets can cause constipation so it's better to ultmiately get the iron through your diet. Are you a veggie? Because that's obviously a major cause. If you are you could maybe try eating more green leafy veg, eggs, etc and other non-meat foods that contain more iron (although I believe red meat is the best source) combined with a low dose iron tablet?

Good morning DD. On the cusp of 8000 posts. Well done. I think.

Good morning. That's 8,000 pearls of wisdom I've shared. ;) You lucky, lucky bastards.

Robyn started watching Tim Minchin while eating brekkie, and now can't drag herself away. She keeps just saying "After this song..." He's talking about words and stuff, so this counts as studying. I'm sure of it.
