Ronnie what is there for me to get? It is nonsense for the dullards.

Personally it isn't my cup of tea but I do think there is an art to writing it, which is reflected by the fact that there have been other comedies with a similar style which have failed because the writers couldn't master it.

When it gets dismissed out of hand it exactly the same as people calling more sophisticated comedy like The Office and The Royle Family nonsense.

The writing was fairly strong. Too often in this style of comedy there is a belief that it's all just been randomly cobbled together. It hadn't. The structure of episode worked fine and the deviations from the plot (including the "breaking the fourth wall" stuff) didn't stray too far, i.e. to the point of detracting from the main thrust of the story. A very nuts and bolts plot, with little intrigue, is exactly what you need with this type of humour. It's not trying to re-invent the genre, it's simply trying to be nice and inclusive in terms of a bright, studio audience sitcom. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I also liked the 'You have been watching...' end credits. It was quite a brave decision to use them, in terms of the famous shows the technique references, but they worked for me.

Aaron, could you explain what you mean for me by keep putting >_<

In this case think of it as a sigh. As in, "Sigh, nevermind, maybe someone else will have understood what I meant, let's move on". Now, let's move on. :)

Nope. What is the art of a 'woman' falling over repeatedly and speaking the most ridiculous dialogue? The answer? It isn't.

I am a very busy and successful man; I expect my content to be well written, zeitgeist-capturing, and all encompassing in it's concept. Miranda? Garbage.

a 'woman'

Rich sorry Jim, you know you are having to bring up your proffessional success to defend your indefensible argument. It isn't your type of thing but it is well written.
Out of interest what line of work are you successful in? Is it writing?

So you really weren't in the target audience then. See, 'The Giggle-o'? Even though I wasn't being entirely serious on the previous page, I was right!

Don't be harsh on him, I don't think he's well he might have been through a stressful time in his successful proffessional life. I think we should be understanding to him in his time of need.

Is there a chance we can meet up?

I am a solicitor. So, yes, it is true that I cannot truly criticise a writer, as I am not one myself, but I know what is good content. And Miranda is not (good content). It is garbage.

garbage.
