Quote: Moonstone @ November 9 2009, 5:06 PM GMTI like the fact that because most of us don't agree with you Dolly we're all 'kidding ourselves' or 'in denial'. No, we just don't agree, nothing more to it.
No, IMO porn has been defended here beyond what is probably the general consensus in society - obviously many people here like to look at porn a lot and don't appear to want to think about the other implications.
But then this forum isn't really a good indication of normal society.
I could just be a good girl and shut up and agree with you all to make myself popular, but unfortuantely I someone who can only stand by their beliefs - which are often based on a lot of life experience.

The ones that do think about the implications during a wank, are the ones to worry about.

Quote: SlagA @ November 9 2009, 6:22 PM GMTFor me, I'd never been out with a blonde lass so they have an air of unattainability and I guess it proves that they're actually far more perceptive than most women.
It's only a hair colour. Usually out of a bottle, I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it or you're going to be very disappointed.

You have been linking porn directly to rape in a sweeping generalization that would make any struggling M.P proud.

I'm not going to say anymore, but I have more than anecdotal evidence on this.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion Dolly and we wouldn't have it any other way.
Your argument that women only look at porn is because they've been fooled into doing so, is a horrible sweeping generalisation against your own gender.
So at least you're being even handed with your blinkered ignorance on the topic.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm off to burn copies of Lady Chatterly's Lover.
I just knew this thread would turn to porn eventually
I never understood why people felt guilty looking at porn...I consider it a helpful visual aid. (with the notable exceptions of the truly pervy stuff)

"Since 1993, violent crime in America has dropped by 58 percent. But the progress in this one realm has been especially dramatic. Rape is down 72 percent and other sexual assaults have fallen by 68 percent. Even in the last two years, when the FBI reported upticks in violent crime, the number of rapes continued to fall."
But...
"It's not hard to think of other explanations why sexual assaults have diminished so rapidly -- such as DNA analysis, which has been an invaluable tool in catching and convicting offenders."
Quote: Dolly Dagger @ November 9 2009, 7:10 PM GMTThat's not porn.
No, it's filth!
All this talk of porn puts me in mind of a sketch someone put up in critique called 'Desperate Times...' if memory serves me correctly...
As you were.

I was joking again.
P.S. Hair colour doesn't change the fact that I'm used to disappointment.

I disagree, DD. You're a champion.
