It's fair to say that there are victims of the porn industry, I don't think anyone is denying that. But people get exploited all the time, it doesn't make it right. But who can say they live their life completely exploitation free?
Why attach a huge stigma to porn by saying it encourages rape/violence, when all that would do is drive it underground?
Heavy users probably have an addiction, not to sex but to porn. If consenting sex-addicted adults had lots of sex and were over exposed to sex, would they be more prone to committing rape? It's true they'd open up more opportunities. But to make that leap and commit that offence, it undermines the act of rape, like it's as easy as flipping a light switch.
It's the celebrity magazines that need to be scrutinized. They encourage equally as bad things on a public level, which is more over exposed and accessible by anyone then porn will ever be.
