What about keys in the fruit bowl? Retro and fun.

:D

I think the decline in cheesy footballs at parties and wife-swapping are closely correlated. It's a shame how the internet has led to the decline of good, old-fashioned swingers parties. That and the unforeseen rise of in the populatiry of dogging. :(

I hate those parties, I always break my teeth on the snacks and have to have sex with Jaqui Smith.

there is a huge difference between the person who wants to prevent mass murder and the person who commits mass murder and I think most people would agree with me.

Indeed there is. Doesn't make it any less possible to lower yourself to their level though.

You're wrong.

You're wrong.

Quote: Moonstone @ November 8 2009, 5:25 PM GMT

As long as you know he's a gunman/bomber fair enough, but the problem when people start taking things into their own hands is it becomes no better than a witch hunt and people often get it wrong.

DaButt McCarthy? :O

Not even if he is a Brazilian electrician. According to the CPS anyway.

Laughing out loud

Sorted out your party yet, Doc Tomato?

Quote: DaButt @ November 8 2009, 7:12 PM GMT

Self-protection is an absolute right. If your government has taken that right away from you then you should demand that it be returned.

What a comical notion.

Quote: Moonstone @ November 8 2009, 6:44 PM GMT

You might be surprised at just how many people hold the Jews responsible for a lot of the bad that's going on in the world at present, but I suspect you're probably not. I don't think Mel Gibson was speaking only for himself. Powerhouses like the Rockefellers, btw, seem to represent all Jews, in much the same way one or two people who happen to be muslim are representative of their entire religion and its followers. A hell of a lot of people hold the Jews responsible for many atrocities with a body pile far higher than the muslims have yet managed.

I don't understand the feelings behind anti-semitism.

Quote: Timbo @ November 8 2009, 7:48 PM GMT

And if there is no f**king climate of hysteria how come this c**tish Government has succeeded in passing a series of laws eroding civil liberties?

Because they're a Labour Government typically keen on absolute control of every last aspect of our lives, and have taken advantage of voter misunderstanding and apathy to get away with as much as they can.

Quote: DaButt @ November 8 2009, 7:58 PM GMT

Can you blame people for being nervous? Eight bombs in two weeks on trains and buses which transport millions of people each day. And who was responsible for the nervous climate? A bunch of Islamic terrorists who did exactly what they wanted to do: kill and terrorize non-Muslims the West.

Cheesy footballs

Disgusting! Sick

You're f**ked if your elected officials are afraid/unwilling to give the voters what they want.

English people don't want to have guns in their homes.

We should give blind people guns.

The fear that one of them would become panicked and start shooting randomly would help reduce violence. And stop people petting their guide dogs when they are working.

I'm not talking about owning guns. I'm talking about having the right to defend yourself in your own home.

Ahh. With spatulas and hair brushes.
We got that covered.

Nice table. I've read that a lot of baseball bats are sold in the UK, but there isn't a whole lot of baseball being played.

That puts me in mind of something one of the contestants designed on the Phillipe Starck show Design for Life, where young women out on their own have an umbrella that also doubles as a baseball bat IIRC.

We're getting there, we got the bats, next year we might buy the balls.

But this one is kinda cool and has a funky shield. I might buy it, would it look conspicuos on the tube?
