I usually put the tree up 2 weeks before Christmas, or 1 and a half if the weekend falls then.
I have done it earlier and later than that though, depends how you feel!
That is because you are joyless. 
Christmas lasts a month in the house at Roo corner.
After a few egg nogs, Roo becomes Santa's Little Yelper.
