Seriously Aaron, I love this website and forums and all that, but you aren't half a tit sometimes. If anyone else had said that on any other thread you would be waving a warning-cum-banning stick asking people to "play nice". Please play nice, Aaron! :)

At the comment? No. If people started bitching and arguing in the ensuing chatter, yes. And that's true of this thread - but as we've seen, there's a healthy discussion, not a flame war. :)

Surely that's standard BCG lingua franca?

I mean I saw the first post; happy part time! final post Islamism and massacre.

It seems we're more interested in murder than parties. Go BCG! :D

Ever tried doing it the other way round?

BCG Thread.
Hitler paedophile or serial killer?

Becomes

Pink jelly or fluffy bunny for Barbie's birthday party?

:D

Hello,
I'm an Islamic fundamentalist terrorist and was hoping to throw a party of sorts to celebrate Irans increasing popularity in the Eurovision song contest.
I thought maybe starting the party with some Will Young cd's and then surprise everyone by ripping open my shirt and shouting 'Allah Akbar' they should have a laugh when they see it's only a pineapple hedgehog strapped to my chest.
But my main question is what should I wear ? I don't want to look too conservative (after all it is meant to be a fun night) but then again it's pretty dangerous to look too camp over here.

P.S. the cocktail sticks in the pineapple hedgehog will have little flags of all the nations (And yes including the stars and stripes, I just want to forget work for a while and don't want people talking shop all night)

Whistling nnocently

:D

Do suicide bombers have pre-martyrdom parties? I suppose they would give the chance for them to practice mingling.

Dabutt this is extremely scary language, and, I'm sorry to say, makes you absolutely no better than them.

I was channeling Batman and trying to be funny. But I'll disagree with your declaration and insist that there is a huge difference between the person who wants to prevent mass murder and the person who commits mass murder and I think most people would agree with me. Think back to the audience reaction at the end of Inglourious Basterds if you don't believe me.

Oh ok, then my apologies. Though it wouldn't surprise me if there were many thinking the samw thing with all seriousness.

Well, whether this is true or not, which I really don't know, I'm not too concerned with what most people agree with. For a start, 'opinions' by various ways and means are all too easily manipulated. During the Cold War it was the concensus that all communists were child-eating, murderous savages, but it turns out they actually weren't/aren't.

But committing mass murder to prevent mass murder?? Is it just me or what? :S

And the feelings of anger and hatred that would motivate such actions, spurred on by the fact that the people you hate murdered 'your own', are pretty much identical to the feelings that motivate many of these so-called terrorists. You know, it's really not just a matter of "they're not muslims so I think I'll kill them".

I can't see our government ever making that decision. But our people can and will step up themselves, so the armed American citizenry will always triumph over the murderous bastards if given the opportunity.

Your high schools, college campuses and bars must be full of murderous bastards...

Well the British wiped out the Kali supporters in 19th century India who killed 1000s. Certainly the full invasion of Germany in WW2 killed maybe a million people to eliminate a pernicious movement, which had every chance of reappearing in a decade or so.

Yeah, I admit, not too much thought went into that. But I really do fear a religious persecution springing up again. You of all people should sympathise with this. And the level of ignorance regarding Islam, as I have discovered, is astounding quite frankly. I know that all kinds of things were made up about the Jewish religion at times in the past that everyone took for granted, grew angry and indignant about, but never actually went and checked for themselves to find that this was all just stoking the fire, just propaganda.

Of course there's a lot more Muslims than there were ever Jews...

Give me a rifle and put me in the room with a gunman or suicide bomber seconds before he acts and I'll shoot the bastard without a second thought.

But committing mass murder to prevent mass murder?? Is it just me or what? :S

You need to correct your definition of murder; it's not always murder when someone kills another human being.

Killing a suicide bomber before he detonates isn't murder.

Killing a burglar in your home isn't murder.

Killing an enemy during wartime is not murder.

Accidentally killing someone isn't murder.

You know, it's really not just a matter of "they're not muslims so I think I'll kill them".

You're wrong. But they're just as happy to kill fellow Muslims, so they're equal opportunity terrorists.

When cultures hold pernicious ideals and act on them, then should we not judge them as cultures? I don't mean all Muslims or even all fundamentalist Muslims. But the vicious Islamist minority, who do support violence and cruelty and it's actual enactment.

We really should not feel any guilt about declaring war on them. Not hide in a self dug hole of crippling, liberal, culture equivaling guilt.

What does this even mean? It was bad in one instant cos there weren't as many?

Killing a burglar in your home isn't murder.

It is where I come from. (Haply on the Wold, near Royal Windsor.)
