Anyone else use Pencil? http://www.pencil-animation.org/
I'm only asking because its forums aren't very active and I wanna discuss it.

I can't draw, so it would be little use to me. Sorry. I tried.
Me neither, sorry Lee. It may not seem like we're being helpful, but we're keeping the thread at the top for when someone helpful does come along!
Yeah, thanks
I'm pretty sure I recommended it to someone on here, but I can't remember who?
Hello?
I was bored enough to check - It was Nigel Kelly.
Nigel Kelly, come on down! lay Your Cards Right]
I've had a little mess around with it lately, it seems to work very well. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it yet though, just been making little doodles so far.
Whadya wanna discuss about it?!
People have posted up their animations on the pencil forum, but most of them are fighting videos or three second test clips.
I was hoping to see some other examples of Pencil created clips. Preferable ones like yours, Shoepie.
I'm also wondering if it's worth doing it this way, or is it just easier to learn Flash, for example.
Thoughts?

Flash is entry level dude. You can't get any more basic.

I get put off by the gazzilion menus. Which isn't a bad thing, but quite intimidating when you have the concentration of a gnat.
I think Flash/Anime Studio Pro would be easier in the long run. Things like lip-synching would be so time consuming to draw every frame out.
What I might try is to use it for little details, animate simple clips like say a flying bird. Then import it into ASP as a movie clip and just have it flying in the background.

I've never got my head round Flash Might have another go soon.

You just put the mouth on another layer and have 5-6 different poses then depend on the sound of the letter you copy the stock mouth into the frame.

You make David Chapman look witty.
Managed to find a smaller picture too, how long were you searching for that?

It's not all about me, you know... but if you insist.
This might be Useful if you have a Nintendo DS. It's a free download app. similar to Pencil. If I could find my DS I'd give it a go!
I have the old DS and I still haven't figured out how the hell the wifi thing works.
I only care about my score on Rhythm paradise anyway!
