Apparently this Aussie stand-up is now big in America, hence his HBO Special, which was on Comedy central on Sunday night. What do people on here think of him?
Jim Jeffries
Yeah, but isn't that Gang Rape joke the same type of knowingly offensive stuff that jimmy Carr and Ricky Gervais do?
He's currently touring the UK (I'm seeing him in Birmingham on 29th Nov). He is undoubtedly outrageous, but undeniably funny.

Not one for the faint-hearted.
He's a talentless prick.

Thank you. I owe you a cookie. Everyone in my husband's family thinks he's a genius.

Well, not that I particularly condone the audience member's reaction, but here's him getting punched at a gig in Manchester...

Making c**t jokes doesn't make him "dangerous".
Warms my heart, just a little.
Makes me feel a little sick tbh. Don't think it should ever be celebrated that someone gets punched like that. Unfortunately the internet (Youtube in particular) is full of stuff like this.
I was told by my husband's family that I have no sense of humour because I didn't find this guy funny. I guess I do feel bad for him, but I think his approach on funny is way off.
So has he really made it in America?
When you have your own HBO special, 9 times out of 10 you've "made it."

Didn't say I condone it, just happened to be listed next to the previous Jeffries YouTube link. Then again, he's a misogynistic, misanthropic, hateful comedian IMO, so I don't particularly have much sympathy for him. But it is wrong to attack a comedian physically if you don't like his act.

I don't really find him funny but I don't think I'd find the bloke punching him very funny, or good company, either.

Nah, didn't think you were Tim. Just makes me feel sick anyway.

True enough, but it can be funny.
My favourite Jeffries gag is where he tells the story of contracting cancer of the penis. (A true story)
The gag was that when his girlfriend heard the news, she didn't want to have sex with him, because she thought she might catch something. He said, "F**king hell, it's not like it's contagious, I didn't have a tit wank from Kylie Minogue"
I accept I may be in a minority who finds this type of material amusing.
Interesting that he developed penile cancer. It's actually very rare unless you're over 70. The commonest environmental factor associated with developing penile cancer is actually poor hygiene under the foreskin. (Hence, a lower incidence in circumcised men.)
