Gladiator (a sketch)
Simple and funny. Works very well. You could have some sort of smoke effect which could work well for both situations, adding to the drama, maybe some cheering/chanting in the background as well
Excellent work.
Bo.
Love it.
Really good.
Nice work
wicked, you could do quite a few of these with different characters from film / history in front of the x factor judges.
Very good Roodeye. Short 'n' simple, just like me.
I like it, and if you're going for a runner, it's great.
They all have sob-stories on X-factor so it's funny to see a really tragic one, but, I think you should push the punch further.
Very funny, I think though that, you should cut the part where it shows he's standing on the X in Xfactor. Why not just cut to the judges?

If I did that, I'd expect viewers to assume we'd cut to another scene, many years and many miles distant from the first.
Well, you are usually right but in this case, the joke is that he is on XFactor, so should that not be the 'punch line'?
We're sort of seeing the 'punch line' twice

Roodeye's usually wrong - but in this case, right.

Ahaaa! I understand what you're saying.
If the joke is simply that he's on X Factor, you're right.
However, if the joke is simply that he's on X Factor, the soldier's dialogue is almost entirely redundant and should either be scrapped altogether or cut down to 'My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius'.
For me, the joke is more complex than that, and so both the entirety of his dialogue and the shot of him on the X spot are integral to the sketch.
