Recorded For Training Purposes submissions for S4 Page 14

Second post has arrived...I'm in (possibly) :)

Gerry,

I'm writing because your submission to Recorded for Training Purposes
has made it through the initial sift.

This means you're one of the nearly 250 people who is recieving some
sort of feedback, or whose work has been shortlisted for inclusion.
Please bear in mind at this stage that as well as those non-commissioned
submissions we have fifteen commissioned writers submitting work - and
the last series required a little over 100 sketches for the six
episodes. So it's by no means guaranteed that your work will get on.

We don't think your sketch requires any more work - or not much anyway. So we're going to put it in a pile for consideration when all the commissioned material has come in as well as any non-com material that is getting rewritten. We should know one way or the other before Christmas, but that may not be possible - please bear with us.

The recordings will probably be in February/March. We'll send an email
closer to the time to confirm dates, if you wish to attend.

Nope. We're due to hear next week what tiny percentage of our efforts is deemed tolerable.

Is that what the meeting is for? Ah!

Well done to everyone who got the email.

Many congrats to everyone who's made it through and it's a pleasure to be in the "for consideration" pile with you all!

For those who missed out this time, remember it is only "this time". I'm sure all of us who are commissioned writers this series started out with more than a few misses on BBC and other open door shows.

Just had an email too (so they're still sending them out). They've asked for a few tweaks and a resubmission.

You have know idea how your simple response has lifted my heart.

Cheers for that.

Aw, shucks - I didn't do nothing...

I'm even thinking of taking the rope back to the shop.

Cheers again.

Just when I'd given up hope... Bing! You've got mail... both sketches through the intial sift...

Hurrah...

I'm off to do my Snoopy happy dance...

Looks like nothing for Sootyj again. I suck.

Anybody want to buy my life?

How much are we talkin?

S. ATAN.

not alot.

And hey it's my life not my immortal soul. That still belongs to Woolworths.

I got the 'your material hasn't been shortlisted - we hope to hear from you again' email. Anyone else get this? I got further last year so am a bit disappointed. Did wish I'd been able to work on them a bit more though.

It's good they let us know quickly anyway and it's good to know about upcoming stuff.

Might post submission for feedback.
