I neither believe in karma, because imo the universe doesn't care, nor that we should try to create a fascist system which more unfairly fairly reflects the values we (the privileged) collectively hold.

So Nogget's solution to all the problems in the world is to do nothing.

\O/

What a genius he am.

The point of Karma has never been about giving constantly to others despite ourselves in the hope that something good will come out of it eventually. It's about understanding what is right and wrong and accepting responsibility for your actions ether way.

It's also about as real as the Tooth Fairy. You can believe it all you want, if it helps you sleep at night.

Civilisations / societies need rules and laws to prosper.

Poor poor ickle RC. No joy.... no magic.....no sense of wonder..... who knows at what age Gary Glitter took his innocence away.... His heart shrank three times it's size that day... Teary :(

Laughing out loud :P

I was saying that the 'rewards' might not be material or even obvious. It might just be abour having a clear conscience or a being able to appreciate what you do have a lot more than others.

Good and evil don't "exist" either, in the sense you are talking about, but they are still pretty handy concepts for modelling our behaviour.

Have you been reading my new book?

:O

Why? Is it evil?

I don't like drugs and don't touch them. Don't need them to be a Rainbow Puff Princess!

That's right, I'm like this NORMALLY! :D

Not yet. But alas I expect the dread day will come.

You have until next summer to ready your nerves!

No it will be a force for good in a dark and wicked world that is called London.

Then I look forward to it.

Sorry, I didn't realise the only f**king alternative to your final solution was to believe in karma.

I'm happy to see this thread has returned to its stated goal, albeit with a different hippy.

RC's solution was some sort of judge system, like the dog headed God (Horus?) in ancient Egyptian religion, which will award plus and minis points for your behaviour.

I said I believed there is some sort of karma to things and would prefer the world how it is.

I think Horus is the sky and the sun is his eye.

Thoth, I think.

Yes, I was trying to say help, I am sinking.
