I just had an Italian salad with butter beans.

I love butter beans. Nobody uses them around here though.

Are there better beans than butter beans?

We used them lots in soups, also blending them they work as a thickener.

Yes, much better than flour and butter. :)

We use flour in so much stuff, it's great when we learn or workout an better alternative.

I like to use arrowroot as a thickener. Doesn't affect the colour of whatever you add it to.

Leftover 3 layer dip with chips. mmmmmmmmmm

A chicken sandwich using Warburton's bread and some leftover chicken that I did for Sunday lunch. After that it'll some rhubarb crumble and custard. You know you want some!

I thought that's what we were talking about? Still, arrowroot is probably better than plain flour, but still not as good as a bean. But if you don't care about that, then it doesn't matter. It's all down to preference.

Cornflour is a good thickener. (Christ, life is futile. :()

So is potato flour or even finely diced potato.
