No, and not much better served cold.
Assuming the soul to be a poetic metaphor for consciousness, then this has been demonstrated in the Great Apes and some dolphin species. Elephants are also good candidates.

How long does it take an avocado to ripen from a rock hard state at room temperature?

If rock hard? Potentially it won't, it'll rot before it ripens. But if it has some potential for ripeness about a week or so. Apparently putting it in a baf with a ripe banana speeds the process.

It depends totally when they were picked. Avocado only starts to ripen once it leaves the tree. Usually between three and six days. To speed it up, place in a brown paper bag and seal the top.
I know my mum used to put them in the airing cupboard, but I don't have one of them where I am. I shall search for a suitable bag. Thanks.
