BSG people are clever so here's a chance to ask the throbbing cerebelum of our brain panel.

If you kept digging down and down, what would happen? Would you come out the other end and fall into the sky?

Hmm if you dug at an angle so as to avoid the boiling hot magma, then yes.
That or you might hit the back of a huge turtle.

The seagul

Good answer, apparently the solution is to eat them and their eggs. Hardboiled gull eggs are a fishy delicasy.

Ruling the lost city of Atlantis with comedy and brutal whimsy?
Surely you must see what a stupid answer that is!
Until you see next week's news bulletin!
I'd like to ask:
How are you, Robyn?
I am so tired. Like, wrecked.
How are you, Ben?
I am fine and dandy, Robyn!

I've swum after eating and drinking. It depends what you've eaten, how fit you are and what sort of water you're swimming in.
I think the having cramps things is a total myth and that drunk swimming is probably most dangerous given the risks you might take. I avoid diving after drinking but would swim happily in a pool.

No. No it isn't.
Think this misconception has probably been addressed on QI. The idea was always that after you've eaten, blood flow/oxygen is diverted to you stomach and small intestine to aid digestion of the food, thus leaving less oxygen for your muscles - which could lead to potentially dangerous cramps whilst you're swimming. Fortunately, although the blood flow/oxygen demand from your guts does indeed tend to increase after eating, it is by so little as not to make any difference to your muscles.
In any case, digestion will be reduced by energetic swimming (even if one has eaten) due to adrenalin release, which tends to try and shut down non-emergency processes requiring oxygen, e.g. digestion.

Yawn!
So why do I get a stitch when running after eating?
