Thanks... dead nervous and upset stomach... not the best conversation.

Doesn't sound like too good a combination either.

See that's how nervous I was :)

How'd it go overall Danny?

It was a good night, the punters left happy, not a bad little venue. For me it was fairly average had better nights but had worse.

Pleased the new stuff went well, and for my first official 10 (I've rambled on far to long at others) it went better than expected.

Nice one. Keep it going, I'll be joining you soon, hopefully.

Great to hear Danny.
If you want to feel good about stand up I advise you read Steve Martin's book "Born Standing Up" you see how even the best of the best like Martin had to go through daily heckling and worse (yes worse). Stick with it! You can only get better. Glad you felt it went well.

Oh yeah, I've reached the stage where even at the blinding gigs I have, I can take stuff away and be critical (but not over critial) and know what I need to work on for next time.

And on a completely separate note, at this level the comedians are all extremely supportive of each other.

How could you tell?

It was a truly bizarre and surreal sight, we are talking near choking with laughter, and that was at my first line.

I look forward to it mate, get out there it's a buzz. I still feel like a novice out there, don't think me and stand-up are a natural fit but I'm working at it.

Some people it comes a lot more natural but for me I know I have to work at it.

While looking for the other hi-top sneaker for my Halloween costume, I wrenched my back and now am walking around stooped over like a 90 year old woman. If it doesn't stop hurting no Trick-or-Treating for me and the kiddos. :(

Lie down on the floor.

No joke, lie flat on the carpet in your front room.

It does work...

:)

Does that really work? I'll probably end up having my youngest and dog sitting on me.

Probably best when there are no distractions, a hard surface, not being the most comfortable, but works...

Well, I think I might give it a try. After I get the kids to go to bed. My bed's too soft and sleeping on my sofa is like sleeping in a hot dog bun.

Thanks Scotti! I owe you a cookie.

Well, the kids are in bed and my back is still hurting. I'm going to take a really strong pain pill and lay on the floor and watch Mary Tyler Moore show re-runs. Or The Critic. Or a good corny spooky movie.

Just found out that the drunkenest of the drunken aunts is taking it upon herself to deliver the eulogy. The last funeral we attended with her she wore a red dress that fit like a sausage skin. Not in the good way, of course. I am sad.

Robyn is off to another day at work in fancy dress!

Ben is whiling away the time before he can head off to the pub to watch football. He's also done his hair slightly different today - kind of to the side and with less 'clay'.

There is not a day that goes by when I don't think of how your hair looks.
