By that do you mean things like Let's Dance and Young Americans?

Ziggy Stardust, Man who sold the world, Hunky Dory, Heroes, Station to station, Low are all above average albums. Listen to them properly. Not just the singles.

But he picked the best songs from his albums to show us how good the albums were, so I doubt it'll get any better.
Anyway, I didn't say he was crap, just over-rated.

What sort of stuff do you like?

All sorts, to be honest if it sounds good then I'll listen to it, no matter what genre it belongs to. I've heard lots of Bowie songs but never thought "wow, this guys an utter genius" or anything. He's all right though, just I wouldn't cream myself about him as so many seem to.

Strange really because he is an innovative genius.

My most favourite thing about Bowie, besides his amazing music, is bad Bowie impersonators. That moment in Father Ted comes to mind, as does the series 1 episode of Flight of the Conchords. Everytime I see a bad or middling Bowie impression I end up listening to nothing but him for a few days.

How is he innovative? Genuine question. Also, does he actually write his songs? This is a genuine question also. So many huge stars of the past, so disappointingly, didn't/couldn't write their own material - which really just makes them good singers. So what? there are billions of those around!

Adam and Joe are always doing Bowie impressions on their radio show.
