Yeah - Thank God we got rid of them!

Besides, as Halloween is originally a Pagan festival, Britain basically owns the copyright anyway.
Ooh!
All the more reason to celebrate it then.
The more holidays and festivities the better, I say.
Okay, Halloween or All Saints Eve is a religious time and a precursor to All Saints Day. Previous to the Christians taking it over, it used to be an ancient pagan festival (Samain?), but this all off the top of my head, so somebody needs to wiki and correct my ass.
Compared to the fanfare in the US, Halloween seems like a damp squib in this country. It seems Brits only like dressing up and being generous at Christmas - giving free sweets to children who knock on your door? They can go f**k themselves!
Unfortunately, in Hackney, Halloween is a time to stock up on robbery disguises and thanks to the closeness of Guy Fawkes, it's like f**king Helmand Province around here - especially with all the new Afghanis.

Burning an actual treasonous Catholic.

Yes, thank goodness he didn't destroy a corrupt Parliament.

Tony Blair's now converted to Catholicism.

Ooh-er, little bit of politics, ladies and gentlemen...

What a total quim.

Strange that he did that after retiring from parliament wasn't it!

Yes, even more of a signifier that he is pure evil. And should be stopped.

It's the bit they always forgot to mention in "hung, drawn and quartered". It was actually (as any schoolboy knows) "hung, drawn, quartered, bummed and tromboned".
The question is, do you celebrate that he failed or that he tried?

I just came back from picking out my Tom Baker Doctor costume. It's pretty off but I'm hoping it will still work.
The long scarf is a reddish and brownish plaid.
The curly hair wig is black
The vest is pretty bang on
But the overcoat is a dark brown
The Fadora is black not brown
Oh well I did my best for an hour and a half of Used clothes shopping.
