Weekend papers' freebies.

Has anyone else had a a result with the cds/dvds they give away with the weekend papers. I've done okay over the years: Tubular Bells, Oxygene, Mel Gibson's 'Hamlet', Cannonball Run, the Stones 'Sympathy For The Devil' film, the Frost/Nixon interview, Abigail's Party.

the Stones 'Sympathy For The Devil' film,

I had to borrow that from video shop to cop - I mean watch !

:(

I remember getting the 'How To Get Ahead In Advertising' DVD a few years back and being most pleased with it.

I got that as well. You can't beat a bit of Godot.

I too have that from a newspaper, but have not yet watched it. Got Clockwise and a bunch of other sitcom films, a few Carry Ons, and a few other bits and pieces. A reasonable selection.

Best thing I got recently was a live Specials cd from one of the stupidly huge Sunday rags.

Got that too, sitting right in front of me, twas from The Sunday Times. Good live selection. :)

I got a classical CD off the Mail. Just cos it had Mozart's No. 21 on it really, which is beeeaudiful.

Went to see them in May at Brixton and it was probably the best gig I've ever been too. Supposed to be seeing them again next month.

I should have gone really. Should have put my reservations on the lack of Dammers to one side. Have to console myself with the live DVD out in time for Christmas.

Now mulling over the Pavement reunion at Brixton next May.
