Horror Film Recommendations Page 7

Does anyone remember a programme on at halloween about 15 years ago - it had Kieth Chegwin in it with this team who were supposed to be investigating a ghost called Mr. Pipes? It was broadcast as if it was a real investigation but it was all fixed. It scared the shit out of me and my mates. Was the original Blair Witch!

I've acquired a film/tv adaption mentioned in a BBC Four program the other day. The Stone Tape. It's supposed to be good, but I haven't watch it yet.

That is bloomin' good, I think.

With Neil Morrissey! Love that movie.

And don't forget C3PO! Someone's probably mentioned but Dog Soldiers is well worth a watch if only for the bloke being eaten alive by the werewolf uttering 'I hope I give you the shits.'

Yes! I was only very ickle at the time and it scared me!

One of my favourite scary films, though not technically a horror, is the Twin Peaks movie 'Fire Walk With Me'.

According to the program I watch the other day it was announced as a drama before it aired but people switching over and missing the beginning thought it was real, much like War Of The Worlds. I'll be watching it soon(ish) as I've also acquired that.

Yes, that was it! Was a great idea and I'm betting a hell of a lot of people got taken in by it.

Unfortunately I never saw it at the time.

It really was very scary - better than a horror because you actually thought it was real (which I think is how Blair Witch worked when it first came out).
Do you remember when the camera went past a door and there was a man standing there, but he'd gone when it skidded back?

That should have been way past your beddy bye time!

I was naughty!

Really? Oh, I thought the whole point was that it was a hoax? I'm sure I remember them revealing it at the end and laughing about it though Huh?

No, people just missed the 'warning' at the start.

There ws a very good program on BBC Four a day or two ago discussing the supernatural on TV that had this and others on. Ghosts In The Machine it was called, look out for it.
