Christine? A Stephen King story.

No, but I've found it; The Car

"This film is listed among The 100 Most Enjoyably Bad Movies Ever Made in Golden Raspberry Award founder John Wilson's book THE OFFICIAL RAZZIE® MOVIE GUIDE"

Talking of English girls abroad being menaced by a psycho, does anyone remember an old film with Pam Franklyn, and I think Michelle Dotrice, on holiday in France?

And Soon The Darkness - written by Terry Nation

The same could be said for many recent (or in fact ever) horror films.

Oh no. The Wicker Man, Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Bride of Frankenstein, the Scream trilogy and many others are a nice night's entertainment. But the film Wolf Creek, basing itself on an actual abduction and murder sounds horrid.

I did say "many", not all. :)

I haven't seen it, but I've been told by people who have that it's unenjoyably disturbing.

I remember watching The Car and enjoying it in a cheesy kind of way.

Then again, I really liked The Mist which I found truly scary in places - plus one of the best film endings ever.

Not scary but you're right about the ending. Excellent. :D

What was that film about the demonic car? I think it may have been called 'The Car' - that was silly and funny.

Not sure but does anyone remember 'I Bought A Vampire Motorcycle.' I met the director in the pub t'other month. Oooooh.

There just didn't seem to be much to Wolf Creek. I do quite like slasher type films but Wolf Creek, although the usual gore, just didn't seem to have much of a point.

Exorcist III

That is good.

Silence of the Lambs freaked me out as a kid too.

I thought that was pretty poo.

I can't think of any horror films to recommend, apart from the classics already mentioned. I haven't seen a good horror film in years, or anything memorable.

I quite liked The Others on the first viewing, but don't think I'm fussed about watching it again.

All these new zombie movies boarder on being a bit of fun to rubbish imitations of things we've seen a hundred times before.

I did like Planet Terror, but that was more action film, than horror.

I'm probably one of the only people that enjoyed the film version of Doom a few years ago. It was bad, but I still enjoyed it, somehow.

The twist was way too easy to work out though, like Sixth Sense.

I've acquired a film/tv adaption mentioned in a BBC Four program the other day. The Stone Tape. It's supposed to be good, but I haven't watch it yet.

With Neil Morrissey! Love that movie.

The Orphanage slam-dunked my balls.

It was creepy, but the special effects are completely laughable.

Yeah, they looked pretty rubbish, lights etc. Still, I'll give it a go. That and Ghostwatch, which I didn't see at the time.
