I agree it was good. It's one of those films that sticks in your mind.

And still no votes for A Nightmare On Elm Street or Phantasm, both of which I found scary when I was about 13. Not any longer though. I haven't aged well.
Quote: Matthew Stott @ October 28 2009, 2:41 PM BSTThe original Texas Chainsaw Masacre is great.
I would disagree. I watched it a few years back for a comparative essay on slasher films and thought it didn't hold well in its age.

That's why there is no votes

Crazier than Texas Chainsaw'?

You do have an 'I'll stick you on a hook and throw spanners at you as you wail and wiggle' sort of a vibe.
If you like The Wicker Man, I recommend 'Blood on Satan's Claw' similar sort of film, more creepy than scary.
Witchfinder General with Vincent Price is brilliant. Actually, any film with Vincent Price is brilliant.
The Innocents is another creepy one, if you like The Haunting I recommend that.

Aw, shucks!
Not strictly a horror film, but Jacob's Ladder has its moments.
I'm a total scaredy pants. I won't watch horror films alone and I need the lights ON!
I'd heartily recommend 'The Devil's Rejects'. (It's technically a sequel to 'House of 1,000 Corpses', but that's rather hit and miss.)

Devil's Rejects disturbed the hell out of me. It wouldn't stop popping up in my head for months.
I thought House of a 1000 Corpses was an interesting experiment but overall was a pretty awful movie.
