(If you do a gig Tim I'll be happy to be in your audience)

Very unlikely I'll ever put on my stand-up trousers again.

The idea that Finck's moving to England would be headline news. (Which, to be fair, it should have been.) ;)

Because she is oh so amazing.:D

Get off your f**king lazy postal arses and do some f**king work you moaning bastards!

It reminds me of the Firemans strike. They moaned about pay? Why, they work 4 days on and 4 days off. Two of those 4 working days were nights, and they would be tucked up in bed.

I know of private organisations I have previously worked in and the professionalism compared to Public sector work is absolutely awful, but people can't do nothing about it.

Gerrr ron wiv it!

With a remark as such as 'Get off your f**king lazy postal arses and do some f**king work you moaning bastards!' I assume you've not a f**kin clue what you're actually talking about... am I correct?

Just one of many who have read a headline or two and not bothered to think why?

Well done you *claps hands*

jules

There's a lot of them 'Home Delivery Network' vans round at the minute.

Well spotted Ben :)

So jules, are you just going to attack people for not knowing, or are you going to explain it to them?

In fairness unlike the miners or the fireman's strike, the CWU do have a point. Royal Mail won't go to ACAS, have broken almost all agreements and use punative sackings. They're also telling the poor posties they have to run 30% faster with 50% more mail.

The CWU unusually for a union have accepted their job is dying out. It's the cock stand Crozier who is still bullying and wasting huge amounts of money.

So jules, are you just going to attack people for not knowing, or are you going to explain it to them?

I think may people don't know for sure why exactly there is a strike. Could someone explain in terms an 8 year old/I can understand? Am not saying it's wrong or right, I just don't know.

Well firstly the postal service is in sharp decline because we all send e-mails. Postman now carry mainly junk mail and packages from internet purchases which are heavier. The royal mail also invested in machinery that sorted post faster and took the job away from postmen. This means that postman are spending more time carrying heavier mail further.

At the same time as Royal Mail are just making a lot less money. And with package deliveries are competing with smaller more efficent companies like TNT.

So the job has got harder for postmen and the Royal Mail needs to shrink urgently.

This is something both Royal and CWU (the main union accept). The problem is both sides accuse the other of acting in bad faith and this had lead to the break down.

I haven't experienced any problems with the mail, in fact it feels as though it has improved. I received some post, which I know was sent on a Saturday and it arrived the following Monday, which never happens.

On the plus side, there's also been less junk mail. Except for the locally delivered stuff.
