I've not really seen a great deal of Chamberlain's work. TV stuff aside, the film role I always associate him with is the cowardly character he played in 'The Towering Inferno'.
Although lacking Ford's charisma, I rate Chamberlain as the more versatile actor. Possibly even the greatest actor of all time.
