'They Might Be Giants'? *envies* :O

I was propositioned by Zodiac Mindwarp, but I was underage. Does that count?

That was a real ooh!

You have done well, Dr. Tim.

At the meet you'll be able to touch the hand that's touched the hand of Julian Barratt. You lucky gal! ;)

That depends. Who/what is Zodiac Mindwarp? Huh?

Yes, I met John Flansburgh and John Linnell after a concert. We were sitting in a Denny's and they were at the next booth and we ended up eating with them. I had just been to their concert with friends and John Flansburgh signed my t-shirt and my chest (upper left boob area.) A true highlight of my awkward teen years. :D

Cool. :)

(One of my favourite songs is The Statue Got Me High.)

I gave Liberace directions. Not as exciting.

I gave Gary Glitter directions, snap! (But not entirely comparable, of course.)

Although I presume his real name is Colin, or Justin or summit.

I'm sure Ive mentioned before my meeting with Billy McKenzie and my Glitter faux pas. :(

Mine is either Ana Ng or Shoehorn with Teeth.

I wore out 3 copies of Lincoln.

My son's fave is Istanbul... :D

Ah, I see.

He's very talented, isn't he?

This isn't a deliberate pastiche then...

Did you ask him to take you to the stars on his highly-charged love rocket, baby etc...?

Good lad! :D

Apollo 18 is a good album all-round for kids. And it's educational too, as tracks like Mammal prove. :)

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ October 27 2009, 3:00 AM BST

Although he was the 'love fuhrer' apparently....

:D

Apollo 18 got stuck in my old cd player in the car for a while and everybody had every song memorized. They are still my most favourite band even after all this time.

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ October 27 2009, 3:00 AM BST

No, they were for real.

I believe you.

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ October 27 2009, 3:00 AM BST

Shared a 'smoke' with the band

I believe you again.

Quote: Dolly Dagger @ October 27 2009, 3:00 AM BST

and turned down advances.

Whistling nnocently

Laughing out loud

Robert Kennedy jr.
Liberace
Chris Rock
Donny Osmond
Natalie Merchant (10,000 Maniacs)
They Might Be Giants
Ani DeFranco

Not an impressive list, but I like it.

No that's the best list so far. Natalie Merchant and Chris Rock especially deserve bonus points.
Where did you meet Liberance? I once did course in libel law and there was a landmark case involved him suing the Daily Mirror in the 1950s for saying in a review that he was "pansy like." He won and the paper had to pay him damages for hinting he was gay.
