Morwenna Banks Page 4

She was brilliant in Catterick, which I'm sure has been mentioned. And I used to feel very guilty about fancying her when she dressed up as the little schoolgirl in Absolutely... Errr

She is one of our most versatile comedy character actresses. :)

She did do a bit of a Beverly from Abigail's Party on Saxondale, but that's not neccesarily a bad thing Whistling nnocently

The 'Sid and Nancy' poster in the background is a bit of a giveaway.

Could be worse, you could fancy her as Mummy Pig (she does a voice on Peppa Pig if you didn't know)

She is lovely, and very funny of course. Love her in Saxondale.

I used to admire her portrayal of Mummy Pig, esp the Fairground Episode - lovely use of unsuppressed anger. Also, as another poster stated, she was excellent in Saxondale, in fact, she was one of the best things in it.

Hasn't she appeared in various Sky David Baddiel playlet things? I didn't catch them myself, but seem to remember them being broadcast. She's not DB's wife by the way, I do believe that their union hasn't been blessed either by clergy or registrar.*

*Have just re-read this - who am I? My Mother?

Indeed: this thread, has been turned (by me) into the Mumsnet Talk Boards - well, without the Boden clothes, 4x4 and boastful conversations about private vs state schools....

Anyway, back to Ms Banks - she probably deserves to be better known than she actually is. Does she write comedy as well as perform it? I'm guessing that this is the case.

You've got ahead of me as I am working on this at the moment, so give you this for now........... :D

Jeeees. What show's that from?

The Morwenna Banks Show - another one like the Haywire that I recently mentioned, which oddly appeared in the same year 1999 and then sank without trace, or maybe it was meant as a one-off.

Will post more stills when I have copied them.

Will need to get some copies of these from you! :)
