When did Red Dwarf stop being good? Page 3

Quote: Steve Sunshine @ October 25 2009, 9:54 PM BST

It found it's feet, peaked & then went seriously off the boil.
A bit like The Beatles.
And the bit in the middle was the best.

When they were on starbug and it was Lister, Rimmer, Kryten and The Cat that was classic dwarf.

When I spoke to Chris a couple of weeks ago he said he enjoyed the studio audience recordings and he wasn't a massive fan of seven.

Chris who?

Chris Barrie.

Chris Barrie.

Did you know that James Cotter almost rhymes with Name Dropper?
:D

What did he think of The Usual Suspects?

He was saying that the studio audience recordings always made Dwarf so special and that if it ever returned properly which it is now he would like the studio audience back.

Didn't ask him I was too busy talking about Brittas with him Cool

Did you manage to get any free filters? I've just had to get some and they're well expensive.

Oh, sorry, Brittas. Yes, very good that.

I don't think Red Dwarf ever started being good. Whistling nnocently

Totally disagree Angry

Sorry, I shouldn't really have posted cos I have nothing constructive to say about the show, but for me by far the funniest thing Craig Charles has been in is Coronation Street.

Craig's voiceover for wacky Japanese game show Takeshi's Castle is also funnier than Red Dwarf.

IMO it has always been good, havung said that my favourite episode is Thanks For The Memory which is series 2

On a related subject The Brittas Empire was not only shite, it also had one of the shite-ist titles of any sitcom, ever. I'm a bit down on pun-based sitcom titles anyway, but "Brittas"? What f**ker is called "Brittas" anyway? Having to invent a surname in order to use it as a pun is really scraping the barrel. Angry

(And if you somehow find someone in real life with the surname "Brittas", it's obvious that they are someone who changed their name by deed poll in honour of it being their favourite sitcom, ie a nutter.)

:O

But you make a good point about the title.

It is better than Roman's Empire, but then again I've accidentally f**ked funnier things than that.
